On 15-16 September at the open stadium of the Volgograd Academy of Physical culture for the 4th time will be organized all-Russian athletics competitions in the name of Yelena Isinbayeva.These competitions have already become a tradition and are organized as part of the “Our support-their victories” program. Their goal is to promote athletics among children, identify the strongest young athletes, increase their mastery and encourage practicing pole vault in Russia.

We invite athletes of 14-15 y.o. to take part in the following athletic events: 100m run, 200 m run, 400 m run, 800 m run, 1500 m run, 110 m run with barriers, 300 m run with barriers, shuttle race 4x100 m, long jump, triple jump, high jump, shot put and pole vault. In all events girls and boys of 2003-2004 year of birth are allowed to participate. Athletes older than 2003-2004 year of birth are also allowed to take part in the pole vault event.

Since 2015 more than 500 athletes take part in the Yelena Isinbayeva Cup that is organized at the stadium of the Volgograd Academy of Physical Culture. All the participants receive start packages with souvenirs from the fund, and the winners are awarded medals, certificates, gifts and coupons for sports equipment. They receive their gifts from Yelena Isinbayeva and other Olympic champions: Yelena Slesarenko, Tatiana Lebedeva, Maksim Opalev and Larisa Ilichenko.

Other honorable guests of the competitions take part in the award ceremony such as Joël Bouzou, President and founder of the international association “Peace and sport”, President of the World Athletic Association, advisor to H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco and Olympic bronze medalist; Colonel Mikhail Barishev; Aleksandr Nazarov, Vice President of the state corporation “Rostech”; Andrei Kosolapov, Head of Volgograd and others.

The competitions are included in the Russian calendar of Athletic competitions.
